What we store on your device
Glimmr keeps things minimal. We don’t use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Here’s what we actually store:
1. Authentication token
When you log in, we store a JSON Web Token in your browser’slocalStorageso you stay signed in across page reloads. It’s removed when you log out.
2. Profile cache
A cached copy of your profile is also kept inlocalStorageso the header and dropdown can render instantly. It’s refreshed from the server on each navigation and removed when you log out.
3. Essential session data
Some browsers and our hosting providers may set basic cookies required for the site to function (e.g. load balancing, security). These are first-party and strictly necessary.
Managing storage
You can clear Glimmr’slocalStorageat any time from your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out and forget any cached profile data.
